There is a group of us just getting in to the game in Glasgow. So far we have one player for each faction. We meet at GUGS (Queen Margaret Union, Glasgow University) on Tuesday nights and Saturdays. If you would like a game drop me a PM or post on the opponent finder on our forum: http://www.gugs.org.uk

Hey! The QM!

I've been there a few times. Better than my union bar anyway.

lol althought the swamp is still in the process of completion, 4 or 5 more coats of resin in the pools will finish it off nicley, the board is itself is probably the best board we have for darkage to play on.

I'm in Sheffield, one of the ones Kenton mentioned trying to get going. Was supposed to have a game tonight, but ended up looking after the grlfriend as she was ill.

Looking forward to playing with a Brood force, I really love the models, especially the saw blades.

Oh, and my name is Gavin, nice to meet you all.

Is the UK Dark Age scene really as quiet as this?

Come on folks.... let us know where you are, and give us a rough idea of numbers...

Well, I'm in Sheffield and have now given up. The few bits of Brood stuff I had are now on Ebay. Shame, but I'm not going to invest money into a game that I don't get to play. Would rather buy something else and get to have a game every week.

Sorry to hear that, ss. And here I was under the impression that there was starting to be a cozy little group of you guys. Are you not close to ID Gaming?

ID Gaming is in Merseyside, which is about 1.5 hours away in the car as the google bird flies. I suppose I could go over there, but just for the occasional game, murh. I'd rather be able to play after work down my local club.

If its any help ss we are in the throws of putting together a series of organised play events for the shop. I do, however, realise that you have quite a long way to travel to get to us.

If there is anything we can do to help you get your Dark Age fix then please let me know.

AN hour and half each way isn't to far to go for some gaming fun, hell, I've gone to London for a days gaming!! but if that's the only time I get to play the game, then it's not great for me.

Once a month or so would be doable I suppose, but I also dislike Tournies now. I don;t have the competitive streak in me.

Whats parking like at your place?

viridianuk

Parking is good... lots of on street right infront of the shop

I help out Tabletop Games (a good UK distributor for Dark Age, stockists take note!) who are down by Newbury. We have started running demo games at war games shows on the the stand and we play on Sundays in Newbury. We are all currently building up our own forces as well as the demo forces

We are also looking to play Dark Age over in Reading at Eclectic Games who run a Tuesday night games session and are looking to stock the range.

Drop me a line if you are in the region, more players and games are always good!
