This Dragyri babe was painted back in February of this year, I believe.

This was before I knew the whole story behind the various Dragyri castes, etc.

I had no idea that crystals were the essential weapon for them, or the source of thier power. Soooooo, when I paint a new Yovanka in the coming weeks, her fan will be glowing crystals. Now that should be some fun OSL.

BTW- OSL is Object Source Lighting, for those that might be wondering. I love that technique, and Dragyri are great minis for painting such things.

Well done! Skin tone is flawless......I think you've captured the grace of this model quite well.

When you've redone the new OSL variant, I'd be only too happy to take this off your hands. :D She'd look excellent beside my Jenova mini!

Love the blending on the dress, fantastic base!

Remember that Yovanka is Air Caste, not Ice Caste. But I'm sure you've already been drilled on that stuff.

One thing, just not sure on the whole metal panties idea. ;)

@gunslinger...have you been able to paint recently? Haven't seen a Dark Age mini from you in almost as long as it's been for me.

i have painted a few models and then stripped them cause they looked so horrid.. i am so critical of my own work it isn't funny..

working two jobs doesn't seem to help that much either..

You don't like her Chastity Belt??? Surely it wouldn't be a good thing if the Arbiter got preggie and then the enemy turned up at the door with an attack, with her trying to dodge attacks and using her fans whilst waddling along complaining about back pains, males, sore feet, males, sore nipples, and *ahem* males............

Nice job again BTW...................

The figure itself reeks of PL, but that doesn't detract from the very nice professional-style paint job.

PL?

DarkHost

PL = pathetic loser

Getting ones prurient interest all jacked up over a scantly-clad miniature is PL behavior. And I should know, as we can smell our own.

PL?

What is PL?

Also, damn is she supposed to be that hot to humans? Maybe I'm just to distracted but these "alien" females seem to be a bit too Victoia Secrets... no I'm just twisted in that way... 8) keep the sexy theme...

I have been talking with the web guru about a possible tutorial for NMM.

It is more difficult in practice than in theory, since I have over 50 NMM combinations

In fact, I think I have over a dozen just for gold :? There are a variety of reasons for this. Part of it is that I can be lazy, and if a certain color is already out on the pallette, I will just use that! :o

Also, any NMM that is supposed to have more reflective qualitied to it will involve incorprating resident colors into the mix. Hence, a lot of the Dragyri golds have more green in them, while the Forsaken have more reddish darks.

I have a bunch of forsaken models which I will be posting that have all sorts of NMM. Some have copper/patina, rusted metal, dark steel, bronze, etc.

I will be posting some pictures of St. Mary's strikes soon that have my most unusual gold combo yet... GW Bubonic Brown, Black, and Reaper Ivory.

Really looking forward to seeing these, mate! So far I have avoided NMM like the plague, mainly due to the fact that I am already a snail-slow painter......
