Jakob knew they had to stay the night at IaBenChem. The sun was setting and there was no way of navigating at night.
If the city had been overrun by bandits, they would have to sleep on the cold desert sand, but they had not packed for such a stay. They brought only their bottles of water, which were all empty by now, and a single blanket each for sleeping within the confines of a nice tent surrounded by relatives.

An enourmous dog was torn totally to shreds just as Solomon stepped in between the rock gates of IaBenChem. This was the very first point at which attackers would be met with rocks and arrows, should they refuse to lay down their arms at the gate.
This dog had met a guardsman, and his scimitar. Solomon thought with a fierce smile.
The entrance path was winding and very narrow so camels would have to pass in single file. And this dog was about half as big as one, they had some well trained guards here, Solomon thought to himself, realising that he really wasn
