Here are my painted up Firestorms. Rather than have them look like hooker camp followers I put them in nomex skin suits. I also didn't go back and rehighlight their faces after I ink washed them, as I wanted them to have a sooty look.

Its amazing what a difference a bit of covering up can do. Don't get me wrong, I love the bikini Firestorms, but covering them up a tad, does lend credence.

You can be assured that when I get mine that they will be half naked.

Hmmm...I think I'd deffinately go with the suits on these. Anyone with a flamethrower and no clothes would seem to be short a screw or two.

DarkHost: I like the paint scheme. The pink hair goes well with the red suits.

To each his own. I prefer my half-naked women in the flesh. :)

Thanks. I wanted a bit of a "punk" look for them. And like you, I thought that the pink would tie in well with the red that I was using for all of my Forsaken.

hmm i would have to say anyone running around with the type of flamethrower these firestorms use is short a few screws adn not having clothes would be just par for the course

You are equating crazy with prurient. By that measure every male Skard ought to be sculped with his wang hanging out -- and at attention no less.

Haha, that'd be awesome. DA team, you have your next idea for a Skarrd sculpt. And make sure it can be used as a weapon too.

I have previously made the suggestion. But the powers-that-be have not acted on it. I'm assuming it is because the Brom imagry is more about T&A than wang. Too bad, as a unit of Buzzblades with exposed Prince Alberts would seem to fit right in.

YMMV.

I am using one color scheme for my Forsaken so that I can field them as part of any given subforce. So my Firestorms could be fighing for St. Mark or St. John. Regardless of the saint, I am trying to tone down the camp follower/hooker look of my Forsaken.

reread my post again please.. i sepcifically called out the firestorm as being short a few screws and that their not having clothes would be perfectly reasonable for a nut case.. you totally missed my point.. oh well

No, I got it. I was just pointing out that Buzzblades also nut-jobs (perhaps moreso than Firestorms), so why not have a prurient overtone to their sculpts. Maybe exposed wangs is too extreme, but at least oversized cod pieces to denote their bulbus mutated wangs.

The answer to my question is that prurient images of women are part of the Brom imagry, while those of men are not. Any other arguements (i.e., Firestroms are half-naked because they are crazy) are just attempts to make rational framework to help suppend disbelief.

ah, see, i wasn't following your logic originally, you were adding to my post, not speaking of it.. lol.... semi-naked girls = good sales, sausage fest = no sales... lol

Back on topic, let's move the discussion back to the sexy ladies in Nomex.
