I enjoyed the dark skin tones of the Skarrd figure you did! A nice variation.

They have some very good contrasts as well :D

I thought that doing "black" figures would be a nice change of pace. If I were to ever do a separate St. John force I would follow the same idea per the studio St. John paint job.

AFAIK the skarrd are supposed to have been living in the desert for years. Painting them caucasian is actually kind of absurd!
They ought to be nomad black, or lobster red!

You've got a nice cohesive look for all your forces. No matter what, I think a lot of armies tend to look all harlequin-like if every unit is painted in separate colours.

Thanks. I did try to pick a theme and color scheme for each force. Sometimes it is hard to stick to if I go awhile between painting figures, as I forget exactly what colors and washes I used.

I suppose. But that hasn't stopped the studio paint jobs for the Skard from being a grey-blue flesh color.

Black/Brown skin ain't always the easiest to do, but you've managed it very well!!

Always nice to see well painted variations from the norm. :D

lol, that would be the case given earth as the basis.. who is to say what the skaard really look like, i would imagine the mutations could cause albino's that don't burn, spotted, and even some darker and lighter colored folk.. red skin would work, yellow, and even some shades of green or blue.. they are mutated by the very substance that changed them originally ... so honestly the is no skarrd are supposed to be ..... colors.. and to be frankly honest, ones army is supposed to look like what that person sees in their mind.. otherwise we would have some very boring looking similar armies..
