Yeah, I finished mine today, this model absolutely rocks. Bummer I won't have a picture anytime soon, but I was curious how everyone else is doing with theirs.

Assembled and primed, but not a priority at the moment.
Have to get the demo armies finished for GAMECON-1 first, then assemble as many of the figs as possible so that people can at least see them.
Currently finishing off 2x Soul Searchers and the Display piece.

You seem to be missing an option.
0 - I don't play Dragryi so I don't have one. Fosaken rule baby..

The Ice Arbiter is the most kick-ass model EVER in my opinion, and not playing Forsaken is no excuse!

Tend to agree - the Dragyri certainly seem most likely to impress non-players (based on random unscientific sample of my freinds).
And yes, I'm rubbish, I don't have an ice arbiter. Some day...

Mine is still in the package, because he arrived yesterday along with the rulebook and some other minis, and I am a DA beginner.

Welcome in then.
Enjoy the ride!
:D
Of course I would have preferred if you started out playing brood, but you will... eventually!

Thanks, I will ;)

Don't think so. My best friend, who is responsible for playing DA, is playing brood, and we don't play eachother races.
But they would've been my second choice, just as the Dragyri would've been his.

OH MY GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please someone tell me that MrSota and I are not the only people in the entire world (or at least that read this forum!) that have painted Ice Arbiters?
This is the most awesome kick-ass model in the entire hobby gaming community! How can you folks not be done? Someone please help me understand!
OK, time for my cold medication again...

Well, for the first time in over a year, I took the time to sit at my painting desk last night. I started work on the base and assembly. So, I should be done in another year or so at the current rate! :(

as the show says believe it or not.. it matters not to me.. since you lost some of your hair you have become oh so bitter... maybe it's cause it's getting cold up north.. thanks for the kind regards...

Urgh? That wasn't bitter, I was pointing out that Soul Warden isn't female. I could have expanded my question, agreed, but felt this was more fun.
And I didn't lose any hair, I got a haircut. For the record. ;)

Status changed from "Still in the package" to "assembled.
And that is for all my glorious 8 DA Miniatures ;)

I was showing off my painted Ice Arbiter during our DA game last night, and I once again loudly made my blanket statement of "This is the most kick-ass mini for ANY game system!" And our local Pressganger pulls out his freshly painted Carnivean (from the new Hordes game) and puts it next to ol' Lucky Guy... the first comment was "yeah, but look at that axe!" and it went on from there.
So Lucky Guy wins again! Didn't do so bad in the game either...

I got a little time yesterday and got most of mine done. As soon as I get the batch of sling slaves painted, I will base them and take a group shot for you. No Alexi or Wappel or anything, just a plain old painted miniature by moi :)

Nothing wrong with that! Looks 110% better than my assembled one. Err...you do know you've used the base upside down, right?
DA_Grafter
12-22-2005, 02:30 PM
Yes, I know... LOL I have not based him yet, I normally don't put them on a base until after I dip them.

Well, he's looking good...I like the weathered look. But you missed his toenails.

I just chucked mine in an acid bath since I wasn't happy with where he was going :-/

I think Grafter did that as a subtle reminder to me of a certain project that I need to finish NOW.
The upside down base is a universal signal of distress in the mini gaming world, much as the upside down US flag is a distress signal. :?
I think you guys will be intrigued by this new project (which may or may not involve bases  ). I am not supposed to blow the suprise just yet, but I am all jazzed about it!
I will deny that I ever typed this message if questioned..... :?:
