The wait and shoot tactics again !
I'm ashamed of that but with 2 firestorms you gotta enjoy the roasting of marshmallow slaves, hahaha...
Ok, so I lost twice to the Dragyri, but after refining my strategy a little (a 3rd firestorm ? another grenadier ?) i'm sure to take out those crystal eating buggers once and for all !
We'll see during Gamecon how it goes.. ;)

Bloody Firestorms :evil: ............ by the way, next time I will remember that they have "Kaboom" (this could definitely have made them less effective), that should make it more fun :twisted:

Also I may have a couple of extra Dragyri surprises for GAMECON, dependant on how much I can get painted up :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Well, the best part about Firestorms is that it's not out of character for them to sit back, wait & fire. I hated that with 40K it was seen as a cowardly tactic and therefore not in character for Marines to do that. Firestorms go to battle nearly naked! Of course they're going to stay out of the fray and just roast away. Of course they should have their flanks protected by some manly beefcakes. (who aren't just there for the view. ;) )

Excellent observations and preliminary write up guys! Wish I could attend this Gamecon and see you in action.

And did I remember "Kaboom" during GAMECON?????? HELL YEAH, and what a difference it made........ I think during the demos, the Firestorms killed themselves and each other more times than the Dragyri did thanks to MAL and "Kaboom"........ they also caused a heck of a lot of casualties on the Dragyri, but the "Kaboom" rule just makes it so much more fun!!!!!!

Demos with Shard Shattering Slaves, causing Firestorms to blow up, who in turn cause other Firestorms to blow up are just sooooo much fun :twisted:


I'll put up a full report with pictures later. 2 excellent days of GAMECON, with loads of demos and great feedback.

Back to work after 2 exhausting yet fun days demoing and playing our favourite game.

Bwahahahaha........... I did add a few teasing, tiny messages at the bottom of some posts before the GAMECON that I was working on something a little special (and causing the delay in the 'puck')!!!

Made it specially for the event to show off some of the figures.......

Currently sorting out my post for the Dragyri figures, will add one on the display piece after that :D
