View Full Version : Template idea, Overhead projection clear sheets
I went to Kinkos and had the templates in the back of the book copied onto clear overhead projection paper. They can make color copies this way. They still have the cool artwork, it saves your book, and when you hold the template over some minis you can tell exactly who just got blasted! A nice argument stopper. The white bits like the centering hole are completely clear. The clear looks really good on the fire effects and the ice stuff but actually works for the shard spread template as it blends better with the table top.
I wish I could tell you how much this cost but honestly I traded the guys at Kinkos a bag of tacos for the work!

Ooh...and if you did two back to back...one reversed...it would be quite durable...hmmmm.
Excellent idea, Kyle!!

I got mine printed onto photographic paper, quite stiff, colours come out really bright, but not transparent....... gonna see if I can get the best of both worlds...... do they do transparent photographic paper????
Good idea geezer!

a suggestion : how about selling cool logos on transfer paper which would be the right size for the minis ?
I'm not too comfortable with doing freehand graphics on the capes of my Forsaken, and would love to just drop a nice logo on my nicest minis.
Profane, is it feasible ?

I had the same idea but I hesistated since colored overhead paper tends to loose its color when rubbing over it.

That is an interesting idea...one to add to the To-Do list. Thanks Art-de-Vivre.
I know you can get decal paper that is computer printer usable from some of the plastic model stores. All we would need is some good downloadable graphics and the decal paper.
