1) Curious as to why Chitins are able to lead Skarrd Bola Warpack as opposed to anything else?

2) Another leader question: why are Kaustics not considered a leadership type for a squad of Toxic Mistresses?

3) Warheads are more costly then Razes? A Raze has a HP=5, PS=15, and a AR=20; it's special abilities include cause fear/never fear/ tough as nails/ and thermal vision, I would think the Raze would be 155 points?

4) At this time only two Skarrd units can cause "fear"; these are the Raze and the HooDoo. The HooDoo is interesting in terms that can cause fear and has a HP=2 and a PS=16, but is a HooDoo 60 pts well spent? The Bone Doc, Kaustic, and Grafter have nearly the same PS values (if not the same) and each has a HP=2; the Grafter allows a player to field Harpies and Charity's Warpack :) I don't see a "big" benefit in the HooDoo when compared to some of the above...

5) When a unit/individual is described as being unique what does this mean in terms of availability? Is the unit/individual restricted to certain secnarios or available only at certain point-level games?

Don't worry too much about the PVs, some are changing when Exodus comes out.

Unique simply means that there is only ever one available to the force, regardless of the force size.

That may change with Exodus.

Would you tell those ladies that a man is leading them?

What Punkrabbitt said.

The 'benefit' is in the limitations by force size. You can only take one Grafter in your thousand pt force, but you can also take a Bone Doc and a HooDoo. It's options that we're giving you, not uber-men. ;)

Again, what Punkrabbitt said.

Hum...good point about the HooDoo. I am very curious about the pending book - the Skarrd history interestin ...the character Deadlock does raise some new and very questions... 8)

I hope so - it makes no sense.

Chitin is the perfect leader for Bolas...there are both fluff and game reasons for this, you'll see in Exodus; it makes perfect sense.
And they are my favourite units too ;)

Well, the fluff I've seen doesn't support it at all. Nor do the current game mechanics - whats a close combat ginsu machine like chitin doing leading a ranged combat unit. It would take a lot of reworking for THAT to make sense.

I don't know if the PlaceHoler-Skarrd list already implements all this, but it shouldn't be such a big spoiler anyway :P

Bolas are RA units that are quite fragile and can block down enemies.
Chitin is a fast CA unit with lots of armor and poison weapons.

Gamewise I see Chitin running ahead to drow enemy fire away from bolas, letting them "ground" the enemy in the meantime.
Onece in CA it is easy to hit prone units...even just onece, so you can poison them.

If the enemy is mainly CA then Chitin can loiter around the Bolas pack untill some Big-Bad-Mofo shows around...and then charge him, keeping him away from the pack of weaker troups, preventing a terrible Bolas-Slaughter-Fiesta (poor little Bolas :( )

At worst Chitin will die, anyway functioning as a diversion that will buy enough time for the Bolas to ground the enemy.

Fluffwise...well...Bolas are "Hunters"...Chitin is an "Elite Hunter"...they all go hunting together :)
And they share Infiltration just for that purpose ;)

Now when you put it that way...it does make sense :)

and when you stated the following, Hasimir:

"If the enemy is mainly CA then Chitin can loiter around the Bolas pack untill some Big-Bad-Mofo shows around...and then charge him, keeping him away from the pack of weaker troups, preventing a terrible Bolas-Slaughter-Fiesta (poor little Bolas )

so the two do complete each other. I had a similar thought regarding the Forsaken - Have DeaeLock shadow a unit of Banes...
