Rules and forcelists.

This is not a bitch and nag about releasing forcelists thread, we've got those already, even though i AM anxious to see the Skarrd list!

So here goes:

I can't remeber if anyone asked this before, but i was wondering whether the complete rules will be published along with all the up and coming forcelists, so no matter what, anyone could pick up their preferred armylist, and have all they need to play the game.

I mean the rules themselves dont really take up more than around 30 pages or so, and i just figured it would be a really nice marketing trick if you could advertise your game saying: Every forcelist includes the complete ruleset.

This would also mean that all the typos and clarifications that has been unearthed after the release of genesis could be mended for the future, so only the Forsaken and Ice caste players would have to log on to see any changes in the rules, unless someone else in their group plays another faction.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if it's cost effective, by the powers in control...

Doubt its gonna happen.......

I play Dragyri, Brood, Skarrd (as soon as the minis arrive). I wouldn't wanna spend money on 60 pages that are virtually or exactly the same as in the original book, when I can just get the errata/FAQ for download....... plus it would reduce the demand for the main rulebook which is probably more profitable. It may be an attractive option for players who only have one army, but for those who have more than one, it wouldn't be attractive.

However, printing the current errata and FAQ in each forcebook would be a more feasible idea.

Will the future books be sans rules? I.e. will Exodus have 30 pages of rules along with St. Mary and the Skarrd?

I would be happier buying more books if they only had force lists than having force lists AND rules. But, that is me.

Yeah, I noticed the lack of scenarios and the like in Genesis - It would be good to see them instead of reprinted rules in the forcebooks. Maybe a mini campaign even?

From what I've heard rules were Genesis only but this dates back to pre Genesis so might be out of date.
Otherwise I agree, scenarios or something similar would be better than getting all the rules again. Of course in the case of Exodus what I want is St. Mary, Skarrd and then, more Skarrd. :twisted:

Maybe both Skarrd lists - Toxic and Grafter?
