Looking for Demo Teams

Kublacon is coming up in the last weekend of May. Deadline for event submissions is April 5.

We are looking for a demo team to run Dark Age at Kublacon. Is there anyone willing to come to the SF Bay area and show DA to the attendees? It would be a shame for Dark Age to miss out on such a fantastic California convention!

Well, I personally would LOVE to get there. But that would mean convincing HQ to finance the flight tickets. And since I couldn't coax them to get me to GAMA, I'm fairly certain I won't be able to make Kublacon either. I'm predicting that this will be the year that Dark Age takes off and next year will see me on the Convention circuit pimping like there's no tomorrow.

Pre-reg until April 15th is $40....after is $50

BUT....

If you GM an event...(like demoing Dark Age) for a 6 hour commitment, then the weekend pass is reimbursed. And volunteering for 8 hours also will give you a weekend pass (such as volunteering to help me with mini-painting events :wink: )

Is that enough info? Kublacon is often praised for how well-run and fun it is. The Hyatt is a great location.

Ok, college basically gets out around the 20th for me. I'll probably be getting back to my Bay Area home at around the 22nd. In other words, I will almost definately be there unless something comes up.

As for painting, I'm certainly up for helping. I considder myself pretty good, at least above gaming quality.

I just hope they don't decide to call me for jury duty (I had to postpone it for school, but have no clue when my replacement date is).

Hope I can make it, it would be great to be able to meet some fellow gamers in the area. Then we can organize some gaming for over the summer.

Due to financial reasons, the Las Vegas Dark Age Demo Team is going to Strategicon the same weekend. I rather expect that I will personally wind up working or some such and miss all the fun, but the Lord Of Excess will be there running some events.

Wow that map is out of scale. The hotel is on the bayfront strip of hotels immediately south of the SF Airport, near the south end of said strip, across 101 from downtown Burlingame.

I'm only day-tripping the con this year, or I'd have been up to run a demo or two...
