View Full Version : Looking for some Necromunda Stuff

Recently, I came into a lot of old GW stuff, including Necromunda and Blood Bowl games and some minis. A few of the guys in my group were a little interested in the new version of Necromunda (free on the GW specialist site) and asked me to look around for some more minis without buying them from the evil empire. I told them I would see if any of you guys had some Necomunda stuff you were willing to sell or trade. I would prefer trade, but hey, its likely not my money being spent. The old Necromunda terrain would also be nice to add to what I was given.

Now you ask, how does this help DA? First, it may get my game group back to my house to do some gaming, hopefully more than just Necromunda (and possibly Mordheim). Second, it has started me building some new terrain that should work for any Sci-Fi setting, including DA. I plan to add more sections to my city terrain, including some industrial areas so it fits better with DA and will work for Necromunda as well. I already ordered a lot of foam terrain bases from the guy who built the city terrain so that I can easily expand the city.

Ok, what do I have tio trade . . . . well you name it and I will see what I have. I know Grafter is aware I have a ton of crap, so just trust me, if its not too new (such as recent GW or WarMachine, I likely have some of it). Really sad. Games I know I have stuff for include Tau, Eldar, Vor, Warzone (lots), Battle Fleet Gothic, Mordheim, Void, Kriomek (SP?), Confrontation, Babylon 5, Fantasy Battle, Space Hulks, Hybrid and more I am not thinking of right now. Oh, I also have a lot of DA stuff, so might be able to do that if necessary.

Let me know what Necomunda stuff you have and what types of stuff (or money) you would be looking to get for it. Personally, I want the Enforcers GW made for Necromunda, but I really do not want to order them from the evil place. Might even be interested in some Street Violence minis instead of just Necromunda.

Thanks for the help,

Jeff

I don't have any Necromunda minis, but may I suggest throwing in a few DA substitutes for some of the models? The Banger would fit in pretty well, and the bounty hunter could serve the same purpose.

Good suggestion. There are a lot of DA minis that will work for gangers. Only issue is that the scales are a little off between DA and some of the Necromunda stuff, but not so much to be too noticable. If I don't find any of the minis the guys wanted, we will just substitute what I have. Figure I have enough stuff, but sort of wanted a few of the real gangs.

Thanks.

Hmm...I have virtually every mini for two gangs; Escher (surprised?) and Delaque, along with a handful of Arbites....but I don't think I want to part with them. So, I'm not sure why I'm posting other than to say what I have. heh.

I have some ratskin minis that I will never do. I may have some other stuff as well. I can get you all the original game terrain in good shape from the boxed set. I can't remember if I still have the plastic minis or not. Think I gave them away. I'll dig through my parents basement over the Easter weekend. I was big into Necromunda until the Spyeres ruined it.

Guess that means that we should not let anyone use Spyeres? Some of the munchkins already had their eyes on them, guess now I know why!

Don't know yourself out over finding any stuff, not that big a deal and spending time with your parents for Easter is more importnat that this stuff. Family first, gaming a far distant 10th or 11th.

Thanks,

Jeff

Thanks Gunslinger. As I said to Kyle, no big rush. When you have some time, Just let me know what you may have that you want to get rid of and what kinds of stuff you want or need (including dollars if cash is preferred).

Thanks for the help.

Very funny. I actually got some Escher that were in the stuff the guys dumped on me, so I am sure that someone in the group will want them. I really like the Arbites and think they would be interesting for the game, but not too sure if they are too powerful. Thinking I could use some Imperial Karskin for them if I do not find any.

Thanks for letting us in on your horde though . . . .

Jeff,

The problem with Spyrerers is that one rookie can take out a lot of veteran gangers. If your whole veteran gang gets lucky you might kill two rookie spyreres after loosing a good third to half your own troops. Now both your gangs are trashed. But the munchkin creates a new gang instead of using his old Spyrerer gang with casualties. You get to start a new weaker gang.

Even in a one shot, Spyrers are a pain as the weapon power to toughness ratio of the game means that gangs are set up to fight normal human gangs. The same thing happens if you let someone run an ork gang. Lasguns and autoguns statistically have a hard time againt higher than human toughness models. There weapons work well against you, your weapons suck againt them. Let's face it this is why DA does not use 6 sided dice.

Seems like I remember reading (writing) that some where . . . . .

Thanks for the information. I was wondering about those very issues with the enforcers, but had not thought about the difference with the Spyerers having heavy armor, good weapons and not real drawbacks. They will get banned outright. Good to find out now rather than later!

Well, I may still consider parting with my Escher...it's not like I have time for anything but Dark Age anyway. ;) They are all partially painted though.

As for the Arbites, I don't remember them being too powerful. They had limitations that made them reasonable. Sure, they had armor and reliable weapons, but none of their weapons were over the top. Besides, they were typically only used as NPCs.

Spyrers only work if you can roll something besides "1"s... my Spyrers always got too shot up to achieve mission goals...

Form what Kyle and Pr0fane said about Spyrers, this sounds like the typical Rabbit curse caused your problem rather than anything else. I remeber a certain Lord Bunny with similar dice rolling issues!!! :D

Now I am sad. Fogot all about Lord bunny being missing from this sight until you made me think of him. Hope he and his family are doing well . . . . .
