hey everyone,
well i know vaxillus posted the original fan art, but after a good game with the brood and spending many a day admiring the puds, i conceptualized a different way brood would get puds into combat.
note: none of this is official, just my crazy idears
i give you the brood buboes
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b190/ChosenofCygnar/thing.jpg (
ok, basically the idea behind this is that the buboes is more akin to a sawblade type creature, except bulkier and the buboes does not walk erect. instead it bounds acros the field on massive hind legs and powerful forlimbs. now situatued on the back of the buboes is a massive ambryotic sac. in there, a colony of puds is incubated. these hundreds of puds swim around the the highly acidic fluids being constantly flushed in from the buboes' body. upon entering into combat, the buboes will go into a rage, but fight with its head down, and as the opponent strikes its squishy back, the ambryotic sac bursts, spraying its victim with acidic fluids and puds
its just a fun idea i had, and i hope you guys like it
this as conceptualized and drawn by me, then my band-mate and comrade jesus christ (madison chouinard) did the lovlerly photoshopping.

*nodding head feverishly*
That looks great and sounds like such a sweet unit to have!!! Totally yucky in its combat system (yucky in a gross-excellent way)........
So, when will the green be finished, coz I would want a few of these models when they are released

Dude, don't worry about that, some of the artwork and future units in the game may not be directly from the B-man himself. As long as it has the BROM feel and fits with the DA world, go crazy, coz if you have more ideas like this, you definitly have to post them up here. Who knows, they may be used for something 'official' 8)

so are a couple of the other critters too. Like that sawblade guy with the shield. He has the mask of spiky-blindness.

Those helmets were likely the norm for the human military at some point, and were probably just picked up by the Brood. That drawing is awesome. Just to be picky, the head coulduse a bit of work, but those helmets are hard to draw. You got the Brood feeling down quite well though. My only stylistic suggestion would be to make the claws and spike that are actually growing off the model more along the lines of the Mean Jellybean, since that seems to be how Brom likes his spikes. Of course, nobody is saying you have to copy Brom. Great work! I'll ty to get some more stuff up myself soon.

That's cool, and a really good idea. Especially love the teeth, they look pretty nasty.
Of course, I agree with Vaxillus that you shouldn't have to draw like Brom to impress people. Seems to be there's a little bit of Brom worship goes on now and again. He's a great artist but nobody ever got to be good by just copying someone else. (Clarifying: looking over this that sound's like I'm saying you are

Sorry, that was the sound of the morning's coffee getting my heart started.
WOW! You really REALLY need that tar to get started don't ya?
Um... ask nicely if there's any surplus?
There it is again, that hippie attitude, and I really thought you were one of us!
Who'll ask nicely if they can tear off someones arm, and then use the arm to pry the mask off?

I'm really shocked by you Brood! Us Skarrd never indulge in such terrible violence. We find the whole idea quite upsetting.
Seriously though it's better to just pry off the mask yourself. If you try to keep the arm in good condition during the

You're still not making any sense.
Whats more mocking than having your own arm waved in your face?
On another note. That picture (you know the one that started the thread)is really cool!
I might have liked in black and white too though. I have a thing for black and and white...pictures.

Why having both you're arms waved in you face of course. You'll have to excuse me, as I wake up my capacity for senseless brutality becomes confused.
The picture does look quite cool in black and white, but I think I prefer it in colour.

Jumping from topic to topic like an ape: it was Sharae who posted the original fan art on the new forum.
First on the new forum, and I didn't mean to make a fuss or piss anyone off... Was just joking around... :?
Nice stuff there :)

Oh yeah.. I forgot this was a new forum instead of an upgrade.
There where one or two people who did things before me. I'm glad to see any new fanart, as more of it means increasing popularity.

It's a very characterful statement

it was Sharae who posted the original fan art on the new forum. I only mention this completely arbitrary detail because I'm a pedant who wants to foster division and start a bitter flame war. Soon everyone will have chosen a favourite fan-artist and will be loudly decrying their greatness and the failing of the others. Then this forum will be torn asunder and in the bleak waste that is left I shall rule!
@Sharae: im sorry!!! yes, you are very much correct, you were the first, wow...i mustve lost my mind. anyhoo, ill give you credit where credit is do
SHARAE WAS THE FIRST TO DO DA FAN ART!!!
My apologise to anyone who failed to recognise the humour in my statement. Allow me to reiterate the salient point:
completely arbitrary detail
completely - To make whole, with all necessary elements or parts
arbitrary - Determined by chance, whim, or impulse, and not by necessity, reason, or principle
detail - An individual part or item; a particular
That is to say something which is of no importance, something which lacks any need for recognition throughout all of its parts.
My thanks to dictionary.com for making this post possible.
