Heya's.
Been waiting a while, watching the minis. After GAMA this year, I just had to jump into this game.
Okay, so I am planning at least four bands (if you are going to get wet you might as well jump in, right?). Planning on starting with Ice Caste (as its the only officially published of the three I am looking at).
My initial thoughts for 500 were this:
1 Soul Warden - Freezing Breath, ice patch, glacial dark, arctic blast
1 Death's Device
2 Tempests
1 Taskmaster
11 Spearslaves
---
499
Because just a list means nothing. . .
General idea:
1) Death's Device is the walk up beatstick
2) Spearslaves to hold the line and help ganging up with DD.
3) Tempests behind slaves attacking over for KP/Pin goodness
4) Warden fills the ranged / support role taking out clusters with foci. using KP to help slaves hit.
obviously, no army stops at its first build, but I do like the first build to be at least fairly competitive (as I still have at least 3 more armies to buy before I back-fill this one, not to mention other games)
---
Okay, how far off base am I? Haven't played other than a Demo
(I'll be the poor schmuck dragging everyone else in, kicking and screaming . . . until they see the models. . .).
