So, after reading a spread in the most recent Computer Gaming World magazine about a game called BioShock I was poking around the web for some more information about it since it looks to be fairly good and I, for one, will be keeping tabs on it to see where it goes. The best I could find in terms of information and media was This site here (http://www.bioshock.co.uk/index.php) so check it out. Anyways, while snooping around I came across some pictures that sort of made me think of DA. In particular I'm talking about the images of the protectors (the guys in the diving suits). The whole games has a sort of post apocalyptic-ish feel to it and there's a lot of melding of old and new, scavenging, and cobbling together of parts and pieces to make new things. I was thinking of maybe doing a conversion/scratch build of something really similar to the protectors and then using it as one of the big guys from the Skarrd list. I've yet to actually start an army but the Skarrd have always been high on my list what with the whole scavenging, feral, tribalness of them and then the sort of bio-mechanical aspects too. I was thinking of maybe taking some of the aesthetic and "flavour" ideas in the BioShock game and incorporating them into a Skarrd army since, while the miniatures are good, they aren't entirely what I like but I do really really enjoy the feel and looks of this game and think that if I was to blend the two together it could work nicely. I've got a free day tomorrow so I'll see what I can do about putting together a few sketches and posting them up here, any and all ideas are really appreciated.
