A fluff question for you: What's the difference between a Death's Device and a Tempest and a Wail? All three represent dragyri that do not have focus so have dedicated themselves wholly to their chosen weapon. Yet the Deaths Device is head and shoulders above the other two in actual skill and killing power.

I second this question. Aren't wails and tempests just other sorts of Death's Device?

Wails and Tempests also serve other functions in their lives besides mastery o' a sin'le weapon. They may have a boyfriend, or be married, or be raisin' their sprogs, or whatever. Death's Device trains with their weapons, day in and day out. That's why t' Death's Device be so horridly efficient compared t' t' others.

I doubt t' Ice Caste Dragyri, have much feminie bounty from their last raid, can't see them doin' much raidin'. Now t' Air Caste probably raid t' other castes all t' time, so we can leave that t' you imagination. Imaginaton little Dragyri lads, "Momma, PLEASE don't let t' Air Caste beauties come and take me away PLEASE!

In t' bigger scheme, aside from their constant weapons practice, t' Dragyri also pursue art and love, much as t' medieval Samurai did. Delicate paintin's beyond t' abilities o' t' slaves may be generated, as well as beautiful poetry. And while I can not confirm this, perhaps thar be whole segments o' Dragyri society that do not make war but instead be dedicated artist types...
