Those of you who have already seen Exodus might remember the concept art used for the conversion. Those of you who haven't yet...be patient

I still have to extent the grip of one of her cleavers, clean one flash and finish the paintjob. But I couldn't resist anymore to show you :)

What do you think?

Looks much better. She seems to be doing something now, rather than just standing there, and it makes her look much more dangerous.

Yeah, dats nice and matches the artwork well. Currently I have my Chitin with bends added to the right knee and movement of the both arms, but she still seems to have a static pose..............

But today I had an idea...... epiphany-thingy-mind-overdrive-thing....... but not sure whether the final product would be valid for use in DA Demo sessions.

Basically take the top half of Chitin and mount onto a Heresy Hellmite (http://www.heresyminiatures.com/images/pages/hm013.htm).... kind of a hybrid, but with grafted bits like plates and wires to show it ain't a natural hybrid. Taking the Chitin fluff one step further  ....... need to check the model sizes when I get home.

But no point in doing it if I can't use the model in DA events.

Permission from da big boyz????

Imho minor conversions like bending are allowed, but mixing our stuff with other companies or even our minis isn't really representing our products eh ;)

True, hence the request before I started........... but this is bringing up a serious urge to see what Pr0 used for his Sawblade conversions!!

Taking the Chitin fluff one step further

EVIL!!

Of course there's no reason not to do it, even if you couldn't use it you could still have fun making it.

 8)

Suppose so, but then I'd have to order another Chitin to use in games.......... hmmmm

Hey, that's pretty damn close to the concept, Freaky. Great job. Did you greenstuff more hair?

LOL. Dude, there is a 1/2 inch thick layer of dust in my miniature room. :( I can tell you that they're less than 50% original Sawblade tho, ergo - unofficial games only.

Yeah I greenstuffed more hair, enlarged her 'trousers' and shirt incl. breasts and twisted her arms around :)

Oh yes. Now that you mention it, I do see these enhancements. The breasts look especially good. Her left arm looks a little thin though.

i like the pose, but the extra oversized pants makes it look very odd.. in fact it looks like she just stuffed her last victim into each pant leg.. it just doesn't do it for me..

Very dangerous looking, much better than the original.

I did a repose myself, but I must say that that one is far better.

Awsome work Freakbrain! I wish I had thought about repositioning her arms. Chitin may have been the first figure I painted and it was so long ago I really don't remember.

As far as conversions go, I feel that anything 90% Dark Age is cool for use in a personal army but I don't use conversions or non Dark Age miniatures in the demos. It's just too confusing.

I believe grafter and possibly both Jeff Racel and Pr0fane said that for demos you should only use stock models. no conversions or fixes..

A reposition would be acceptable. But yes, no conversions for actual demo events. Unless punkrabbitt has changed that bit o' policy since taking over the Outcasts.
