Vax and I played a friendly game today. He brought a Kaustic, Raze, 2 Toxic Sisters, and a band of Buzzblades. I took a Warwind, Dedlock, 3 Coils, and 4 Banes.
Dedlock headed off to battle the Raze, while the rest of the Forsaken braced for the remaining Skaard pack. First kill went to a Coil who picked off a Buzz. The Warwind then stepped up to shoot her pistol, which exploded spectacularly in her face, checked off a HP, and knocked her to the ground, where she used her last AP to stagger back upright.
The Skaard continued to close the distance. Dedlock fired off a few shots and knocked down Razes HP a couple notches. The Bane Grenadier took his turn to step forward and lob a grenade at the pack of Buzz's and Kaustic, hitting all and devastating the Buzz pack. About this time, the Forsaken noticed that they were tightly grouped together, but it was too late as the Toxic Sisters came round the building and fired into the mass. Half of the Banes instantly died, and the Warwund was lost, along with a coil.
Dedlock closed with Raze and at short distance Sprayed and Prayed a hail of projectiles at the lumbering hulk. Not good enough. Raze charged at her with full force, but Dedlock gracefully danced around his clumsy blows.
The remaining Banes shook off the effects of the poisonous Sisters, and charged at the fleeing BUzzs....slaughtering them and the Kaustiuc. The Coils made short work of the Toxic Sisters at med range.
Raze recovered enough initiative to strike out again at Dedlock before she could fight back. Thsi time a single blow met its target. Dedlock was out of commision. But Raze saw that he was the last Skaard left standing, and he only had 1 HP left. Better to run and fight another day. The Forsaken had succeeded in protecting their village, but at a terrible price.
But, tomorow is another day on Samaria....
