A Kaustic Question

In the old quickstart rules Kaustic couldn't use his Command(1) ability if he chose to to Take Charge of a buzzblade squad. Has this limitation been officially removed as of Exodus? I've read and reread the desc of both abilities and the description of Kaustic, and I can't find anything preventing the use of both.

It's been changed since the quickstart. Kaustic may still use Command even if he uses take charge.

Followup question: Do you have to declare you're Takingcharge of a unit before the game starts, or can you do it mid game? The description doesn't say one way or the other.

It's actually in the example below take charge

Example: Mike is playing Skarrd and decides to have the
Chitin lead a Squad of Bolas. He wants the Squad to be at
full strength so purchases the maximum Squad of 10. The
Squad now consists of Chitin and 10 Coils. The whole Squad
must be deployed as one and will be considered as one Squad
throughout the game.

Ok I get it. A rules lawyer ( not yours truly of course :roll: ) could argue that at the begining of the game and throughout the game are not the same thing however.

I'd say you would be bumping into some pretty daft players if anyone would claim that: The whole Squad
must be deployed as one and will be considered as one Squad
throughout the game. Doesn't mean that they are still one squad even if he dedicedes them to be otherwise.

But hey, I might just be in a bad mood now since I think like that :D

WTF? I thought we sorted out the Bolas to Coils transformation? We Skarrd don't need no stinkin' Coils, we've got balls on strings!
