Will Dark Age add objectives rules to their fights as a regular part of the game?
The current rules (just fight until you kill all of the other side) are fun and fine to learn the game but it seems to give a rather nice advantage to shooting armies. Without objectives there are no reason for a shooting army to stand ground and let themselves be over run by a melee army. Not to mention lack of objectives gives a melee leader little in the way of options... they can charge ahead and be shot up for 2 or more turns (praying they they have enough troops left to fight in melee combat) or hide and avoid any fighting for a long time. Without an objective the game just stalls if the melee army doesn't charge ahead and if they do, they have problems living to reach C.A. ... but with objectives, maybe a melee person can win the game by holding back and forcing the shooting army to advance into an ambush or other wild and wacky options.
