my chemical romance is considered punk? oh crap, punk has really gone wrong then... (now i might bite if you call it emo, as emo is an evolution of punk, no way chemical romance is even close to the punk i remember, such as black flag, dead kennedy's, misfits, clash, sex pistols.. etc.. ) of course maybe my idea of punk is hardcore punk.. who knows..

No, i understand you're point Gunslinger, I don't see MCR as really Emo though either. I always think of crap like Dashboard Confessionals and the like as Emo. MCR they have a lot of "punk" stuff off thier two albums. I'm into Black Flag, Dropkick Murphies, Dead Milkmen, Fear, SOD/MOD, Misfits, and then later on... Green Day, Bad Religion, old Offspring, Sum 41, and some others.

I'm not sure when the definition of "emo" changed, but has gone from post-punk to whiney high school music recently. Dashboard Confessional is a wretched example of this.

The "emo" that I remember (whippersnappers) was awesome stuff like Sunny Day Real Estate, Appleseed Cast and Planes Mistaken for Stars.

I've been listening to way too much Nine Inch Nails recently. I must be one of their only fans who actually likes their (his) hew alblum. I've had March of the Pigs stuck in my head for the past few days, just wish it wasn't so short. I also realized I really have to get my hands on some of the older Rob Zombie stuff, because he's been going downhill since The Sinister Urge.

Edit: @ Wayne: that's one of my favorites too. I've gotten more hooked on Theme of Laura from #2 though, which in my opinion has a slightly better soundtrack. There's a new Silent Hill game eminent for the PSP, so hopefilly we'll get some more SH musical goodness soon.

Pretty Hate Machine and Downward Spiral are my favorite NIN albums. Rob Zombie is a kook! I havent seen Devils Rejects but DAMN! House of 1000 corpses was one of the most f'd up films I have ever seen! I loved it! The song of his that stands out the most for me is Living Dead Girl, I was in a strip club and the dancer was "dancing" to that song, well suffice to say after the song was over she had my wallet's contents, minus the debit card of course :roll:
