We had myself and two other warbands show up tonight so we did a round robin between our forces at 350 points and it was much fun!
First game was my St. Mary force vs. Skaard
Got to use my utter Skaard hatred to decent effect with Mary. Firestorms were an issue as one of the two hit Father Curwen for a wound, and the other MAL'd taking her and her partner out of the fight. Contradiction KP'd a bone doc who then got jumped on by my 2 Banes and dispatched. The game ended up with only St. Mary and Father on the board in the middle duking it out, Father just getting the edge and winning.
Game 2 was Skaard vs Brood
Skaard player rolled and hit well, Father cauterizing one Sawblade, but he just couldn't get enough wounds at once on everything, and Murtros and his two Sawblade companions were able to take out the Skaard without losing a model.
Game 3 my St. Mary vs. Brood
This time the Firestorms made up for it. We both went towards each other with a building in between us. Once in the building, the all important initiative roll came up as both of us were in a) his charge range, and b) my SP template range. I won the roll. I had the two firestorms and Mary right behind the Storms, so up came the opportunity to use Command (2) for the first time. So first went the two Firestorms who killed one Sawblade, wounded another, and wounded Murtros three times (whoo-hoo for a natural 20 armor save!). Once they got done, the nailgun from St. Mary finished them off. That was nice as I was never even touched that game. Would have been scary if he had won that initiative roll...
In the end, much fun and couple more interested players who watched us. More fun to be had next week as I take 1000 points of my Ice Caste against 1000 points of Brood!
