So Poison and Fear Toxin do not effect a Non-Living Unit.

How come Numb effects a Non-Living Unit??

Abomination is taking hits from Sister of Compassion!

As this is a fluff vs rules question.....I shall default to the fluff guys

PS
I thought that answer sounded a little better than "Um....Cause it does?"

well, here we go. As absurd it may seem, Numb is totally different from Poisons and Toxins. In DA these work mainly on nerves and blood circuits, so non-living critters don't need to worry.

Numbing means you have access to different steroids, stimulants and synthetic narcotics. But it isn't that simple, you can mix that cocktail according to the situation you face. So every shot might be different.

The synthetic narcotics also have an ability which is devastating but giving a short time relief to wounds. It mends destroyed vessels and bio matter by "gluing" them. This isn't really a healing effect but something that delays death. It is just logical that it works that way since even with your body full of adrenaline you would simply bleed out in case of grievous wounds. That doesn't mean this effect replaces a chirurgical operation, it just, as all numbing effects, delays death. Who cares about seizures if the patient is doomed anyhow?

This effect affects non-living units as well as the "mending" of matter slows them down as it's, in the case of overdosing, an external physical effect. So in case it is needed to offensively take down a Non-Living Unit the Numing unit just takes a lot of the Synthetic Narcotics, overdosing the "mending" component for the next shot and tries to hit.
