I was wondering if anyone has the measurements for demo table sizes?

I'm playing around with the idea of doing a table in modular sections that can be changed and re-arranged as needed.

I'm also hoping to make 4 really nice demo tables in 2008. I'm tentatively thinking the Northern Wastes (Skarrd/Forsaken), Frozen Plateau (Ice Caste)
I'm recoiling at the thought of doing a full fledged swamp one due to the involvement and that I really hate larger scale water effects.

If anyone has any input it would be most appreciated

Regards,

All demo tables (bj may correct me here) are a simple 24" / 60cm board.

Since you are looking for modularity, this works very well. Either as four demo boards comming together to make a full board, or as even smaller chuckins for easy carrying.

I always wanted a 1' modular board set. But, once you graduate the table to 4' or more you end up with just too many seams for my liking (either as play surface or to simply keep flat and straight. :) )

On 4' boards I really like 16" sections. This gives 3 wide by 3 deep sections. Which works great for designing the board itself. One tile being the center of the board lets you plan tables out very easily.

Not so good on a 24" however. But if you are not planning on going upward 8" sections on a 24" board would be pretty good: The size is easy to find (You could even PRINT tiles out if you want to go quick and easy ... fits on a sheet of paper. Or, I think that IS the size of many floor tiles for good/quick/durabale pieces)

EDIT: Foot annotations corrected in bold, above.

yea...2 foot is best for demoing. 3 foot is okay too. Those wooden rounds that you can buy at the lumber yard work well.

you seem to be using the " for both inches and feet. Not sure if you meant to do that, but it threw me off the first 3 times I tried to read it.

Lol. Nah, just typical morning (before I finish my first cup of coffee) lack of focus. :D

Will edit the above for clarify.
