Hi, atm Im playing Infinity, Hell Dorado and Anima Tactics but Im really interested in Dark Age game.
I want to start with 2 warbands so I can demo the game to my friends, Im looking for the Outcasts and Forsaken - Saint Luke. Can you guys help me with 2 starting lists? I would also like to know how much I would spend aproximatly in each of those warbands.
Is there any army building software, app or online program to manage the warbands?

thanks.

Given the low model count, such software wouldn't really be needed. You can download all our stat-cards from the website though in the Downloads Section.

As far as Demos go, the starters are all within the same points level (295-310), so picking up an Outcast and a Forsaken one would give you a perfect place to begin. For shorter, smaller demos, however, I recommend the following:

3x Wasteland Warriors
1x Brute

vs.

2x Coils
2x Banes

It gives the right mix of shooting, melee, and Malfunction so people can get a feel for the game without it getting bogged down or taking too long.

Thks a lot Mr. Black! Amazing article! Exactly what I was looking for! Let me know if there is something similar to others factions.

thks a lot! its awesome! I already found the others articles, very helpful.
I havent bought my models but I already have a friend to join me! I think we can have a nice game group very soon here in Brazil.

But he want to play as Outcast so I think I will be needing to change one of my armies choices so Ill be starting with Saint Luke and Blood Cult, I just fall in love with your Blood Cult article and battle report.
I will be running demo games with 500 pts but I want to buy the 750 pts lists right now so I can save on shipping costs so any tips about the lists will be welcome.

Saint Luke (Ill be buying the list from your article):
750 Points
Saint Luke (Mantis) (135)
Stinger (x2) (160)
Arsenal (x2) (160)
Marionette (100)
Strike (x2) (140)
Field Medic (55)

And as I never played the game before Im really unsure about the Blood Cult list:
750 pts
Father Mayhem + 3 puppet
Red
Keepsake + 1 puppet
Blood Reign
2 Blood mistress
6 Buzz Blade
6 Buzz Blade

You run a list very similar to mine on the Blood Cult front- I dont use a Grafter and Sister of Charity as most do with Buzzblades in favor of simply putting more bodies (and thus Blood Counters) on the battlefield.

I will note that one thing which is enjoyable about Dark Age is that what you bring to the table isn't as important as how you use what you bring to the table.

Father Mayham (125)
--Puppet x2 (40)
Red (60)
Buzzblade x5 (125)
--Blood Reign (50)
Buzzblade x4 (100)
--Blood Reign (50)
Keepsake (45)
--Puppet (20)
Blood Mistress x3 (135)
750/750

On a side note, you may consider applying for the Legion program if you are going to be running demo's and starting to promote Dark Age in your area - some info here:

you can email Ross AT coolminiornot.com for more details.

Welcome to the Dark Age!!!

in the above list i would probably find points to take a fetish bearer though he is not blood cult, i usually just keep him a bit back just to hand out his Instigate bonus. Skarrd as a whole tend to be 'okay' in the department of stats but once you add a few individuals and abilities across the regular guys they start to become very dangerous. Even more so when you break out the blood cult where the source of power comes from anyone that is dead/dying.

Never fear 'throwing' away a few of your buzzblades or puppets to create fuel for the rest of your army

Thanks for all your answers people! I bought both rulebooks and the 2 armies lists above! I think Ill assemble all models and start to run some demo games before paint anything.

cerealkiller195, I think Ill be trying some new models after I learn the basic gameplay thks for your advice! Any tips about other models?

johnnyboy, youll be found a great game group here in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo! And we play almost all game systems.

AngelicOne, I think they doesnt accepted people from Brazil as we cant be present in the official events.

Goedi - If you are capable of demoing at local stores and such; the Legion will accept your application. Bounce an email out to [email protected]

Seriously...the Legion is NOT convention-capabel only.
