Potential lists for Gencon.

Here are a few ideas I had for the Mti qulafiers at Gencon.

5x spear slaves 50pts
Taskmaster 35pts
Total 495pts

St John

St John 135pts
2x haniels 130pts

Is there a reason you have a task master or just had extra points that couldn't go anywhere?

followers of heretic have lots of armor though with few activation's you may have to take a bunch of attacks and hope for initiative unless you are very careful.

do you have your +250 ready if you get past the qualifiers in your head?

My reasons for taking a Taskmaster is extra activation, and cull the weak to whip the spear slaves into shape. As for the followers its a pretty dumb list. I'm leaning towards John again or Dragyrai.

if you dropped the task master you could get another small group of slaves that would help with the lesser objectives via the new immortal rules. Small squads = easy wipe out just send a true born for mop up and thats an auto 3 points. It also is good for the extra activation, having one random task master is too tempting to knock out and since he doesn't count as a slave (i believe) he wouldn't go towards that condition.

dead hard/small lists aren't bad just require a lot more planning ahead of time, in most cases i love maxing out activations to figure out what my enemy is doing. BUT lately i've been doing a lot of experimenting with an elite list...

I actually like the task master. His ability to prevent panic in slave units within 4 inches of him makes those adorable little tar pits that much more annoying. And his own statline isn't bad for a slave.

Thanks Wormstrum. I understand what you're saying Cerialkiller195. But I also love the Taskmaster, and he also provides an additinal activation.
