We are very lucky to have a great community of Dark Age hobbyists. People who are dedicated to the game and the story and the miniatures, and who love to show the game to everyone they meet. Some of our veteran hobbyists are willing to take that enthusiasm a step further, and one of them is even willing to drive across half the continental United States to challenge someone to a game.

David Moffit has been playing Dark Age for a very long time, so long he thinks he remembers a time before the Abandonment. Moffit loves Dark Age so much he regularly plays larger than usual games, busting out up to 4,000 points a side! Well, last summer*he started a little campaign, in an effort to get to meet Dark Age enthusiasts across the country. He started something that became known as the Moffit 1,000-Point Challenge. Using the Dark Age: Samaria Reborn (https://www.facebook.com/groups/183757445321780/) page (formerly Samaria in Ashes), Moffit organized 1,000-point games from Georgia*to Connecticut to Michigan and points in between.

This summer, we’ve given him a little bit of support. Moffit will be*using 1,000-points of Kukulkani, including a handful of the as-yet-unreleased miniatures. Additionally, we’ve had the guys at Warsenal cut us these cool objectives (seen above). Each and every opponent this summer will receive one of these, and Moffit will inscribe the details of the game (forces used, who won, etc) on the front in permanent marker.

The first three opponents will be fought on Monday, June 20, in Village Games (http://www.villagegames.net), Champlin, Minnesota. The first three challengers are:*Connor Wenner, Trenton Wells, and Nick Smith. We wish them the best of luck!
