You used the exact term I hate: "auto include". Things like this should never exist.

And the new Regeneration helps lower-wound count Brood while, admittingly, being a slight debuff to mutli-wound brood...This was intentional, as MJB, Helexa, Howler, Numbskull, Murtros...all them... They were disproportionately survivable compared to other models for their points.

Pud Thrower's card back seems to be the POD's.

Still getting used to the vertical stats. I still find them a bit harder to read.

A bit surprised Mandible's AR dropped. He seems downright squishy now.

Full disclosure - I have only played a couple of games with the Brood so I am drawing from very little experience.

I think the relatively low ARM and large profile (base size, et al) of the Brood as a whole was balanced by the Regeneration mechanic. I worry now that my leaders, already pasted with Very Large Targeting Reticles, are now disproportionately vulnerable. Do note that unlike many of the cowardly Skarrd and Saints, Brood leaders must regularly put themselves in harm's way to kill their foe. No standing back with Plasma or Psychogenetics to get the job done.

This is all Dark Mutterings, I admit. I will see what the table says. I know that the game is in good hands and that I need not drive down to Marietta to register my complaints.

Concerning your worry about being targeted, remember that the terrain system and LoS rules have changed in a meaningful way. If you aren't using them to their fullest, and playing on a terrain heavy table, you are missing out.

How does Bio Gen - Improved Regen work now that dice are not rolled? Is it simply 2 wounds regened or is it gone all together?

Improved Regen is gone. See new Bio-Gens starting on page 71 of the new rules pdf.

Cheers, got the new book at GenCon but don't normally play Brood so didn't check for it. Got a club meet today and I know I will be asked about it.
