Reach question

So I'm leafing through my spiffy new copy of Genesis and I notice that the Weapon ability Reach is described as a ranged attack. So, can a reach attack be "aimed?" It doesn't seem in the spirit of the rules, but it doesn't state you can't do it either.

Yes you can.

It's actually pretty balanced because the unit can't get charge or gang up bonus...
