    Brood, exclusively!

    'cause they're big.
    'cause they're bad
    'cause they regenerate
'cause they spray acid when you hurt them
'cause they look absolutely rocking cool!
'cause they're from the same place as Lynyrd Skynyrd... the swamps!

I play Forsaken... basically I loved the St. Mark and Coil minis... now I really like St. Mary, Clergy Ann and several other Werner's sculpts. That's the main reason why Forsaken was chosen (even if I can bet St. Mark wasn't sculpted by Werner). I also like the fluff. I like more the Fallen Saint fluff... so I'll wait to see if the minis are as cool as the fluff, if they do so I might build a Skarrd army. I do like the idea of Harpies-Grafter-Abomination-Drillheads-Fallen Saint army... my second choice at the moment is Brood. I'm building a force of Brood for demos... I realised that I havent posted pics of my Coils... I shall do so. For Dragyri... I do have a place in my heart for Earth as an element... being that caste not even hinted I'll see what the future has to spawn.

It is probably the hardest question for me. I am really partial to the Dragyris, because I helped design them, especially the females. That's why it is my biggest painted army as of now. And the trueborn sculpts are some of the best in the business. But I really, and I mean really enjoy playing Brood. It just gives me a rush. They are fast, hard hitting and have nasty abilities, acid blood... sucks to hit them, worse if you miss. Regen... nothing worse than having them pop back up behind you. Puds... just a constant problem that you have to deal with, and they do kill... Playing against The Brood is almost like running an obstacle course. I love it. The Skarrd, on the other hand is pretty insane by its own right, the Father with a million attacks, Harpies with gliding deployment will make you paranoid the whole game. Poison, poison and more poison... that leaves the Forsaken... the army that everything else is measured up to, with the biggest arsenal of troops to date... I voted for Dragyri, but like I said, a tough choice.

That's a great question to ask, oh unclean one (what is that smell?) and welcome to Dark Age!

Yeah, as one of the core guys, I'd also select "all of the above" but if I had to pick one favorite, it'd also be Brood. I am a notoriously poor roller, so it gives me some satisfaction that even when my troops are getting whacked, I still have some chance for retribution, acid blood & regen are possibly the best attributes in the game (right now) for me.

Add to that mix, the fact that I am one of the slowest painters on the planet, the Brood appeal to my pace of painting too.

But I love the look of the Dragyri. The concept behind Forsaken is outstanding, not to mention the neo-retro imagery. And the Skarrd...who wouldn't love to control a horde of cannibilistic self-mutiliating freaks with nearly naked chicks?

Thanks for starting an excellent poll.

Hmmmm... I can chime in here a bit, and at least give you an idea of where I am coming from.

Forsaken: with nearly 3000 points painted up, these would look like my favorite, but they're not, just easy to paint. I like the look of the forsaken, I like painting them, I like their background, I am just not real good at actually playing them.

Dragyri: my runner-up in terms of points painted, I have three seperate Dragyri armies and tend to clean up the table with them. Also good backstory and who can deny the simple pelasure of painting hordes of Slaves? I did over sixty of my own, and am doing many, many more for my friends.

Skarrd: tricky to paint, tricky to play, tricky fluff, but also one of my favorites. When it cam time to bring an army home to use against anyone coming here to play, I chose the Skarrd. I still have some outstanding units to finish up, so I am still trying new things with this army. Tried out Bolas the other night, pretty sweet!

Brood: I've done the "one of everything" Brood army, and was quite frankly bored to death with it. In the end, I sold it and started over. Now my Brood army has no Acid Blood, and only speed on it's side. I am running Murtros (Murtros Skarrd-Killer, look it up on the Miniatures section of the forum), a Gazelle, and nine Broodhounds using the Quickstart list. I love the conversion possibilities, I love the paint scheme I've gone with (Very Brom!) and I love the tactical challenge of playing a "light horse" army in the Dark Age setting. My one issue is that with what I want to do, there is not a lot of room for variety in the force that I field, which gets old quickly for both me and my opponents.

So that's the ups and the downs of everry force that I own. As you can see, it's very hard to pin down which is my favorite.

Hell yeah! Full speed ahead, damn anything that gets in the way! It's good to be back!

The Forsaken is the most tactical army to play. If you play them right, they are devastasting. But it is believe it or not a really tricky army to play. Watching Rizzen play Forsaken is just fricking amazing!

The Skarrd have almost always been my favorite. I simply love the minis. Raze is a favorite of mine, as you can probably tell from my avatar, but I also love the Brom painting of the Father. I just wish there was a better model. The toxic mistresses are also a favorite. As for play style I haven't played a game yet, but I like the idea of a bunch of cheap, crazed troops with one or two monstrous creatures. The Father's current defense of 1 isn't exactly a deterrent either. Can't wait for Exodus.

I'm also collecting some Forsaken, 'cause I love the models. I was surprised by how dynamic some of the models are, soch as the banes. Don't see many one piece models that look so 3 dimensional. usually stuff like that tends to look very flat.

I'll admit that most of the games I've played have been against myself (the weird thing is, I never knew what the other me was planning to do). I'll also admit that when playing against other people so far its been proxied games with Forsaken and Dragyri. And thirdly I'll hang my head that I've yet to get in a game with my
