    GAMA Trade show report

For those of you that are not familiar with GAMA, it is an industry trade show where manufacturers can meet distributors and retail stores. This is the very first time that Dark Age attended GAMA and the results are pretty impressive.

First of all, I would like to thank Punky who went above and beyond to make sure we put on our best face for GAMA. He literally set his life aside for the week, so that Dark Age had priorty. Thank you for being a good friend both personally and to the company.

I happened to have taken a few pictures, so that you can see our booth, it is simple but effective and from this I know what I need to do to improve the booth for Gen Con Indy. Since this is really our first show where people can see our studio minis in person, we took everything that we have painted to the show, and I dare say that our showcase was the talk of the show. Considering what other miniature companies were there, it was very flattering.

We had quite a few stores buy Dark Age starter packages at the show. So many of you will start to see DA products at your local store. I will post a list of them as soon as I get settled. In addition, there are still a ton of store we need to call back, so thing are looking good.

We did also have a nice blonde across the isles from us who showed us her tatoo, yeah, baby, if you were not there, you missed out of none other than Clergy Ann... now how random is that... just shows you how much BROM rules!

So all in all, it was a very successful start for 06 for us. We are all excited and we look forward to seeing a lot of you at upcoming cons.

Whats that Gnasher doing there with a big BROOD CARD IN THE BACKGROUND? Why doesn't anybody tell me anything? Who's that big brood guy?
    *frantic mode off*

    1. Yes, that is a Prevailers Shepherd...there as a preview. Prevailers are a ways off in Development yet.

    2. Mmm...yes. The new Harpies rock.

    3. Cards; what are those art cards from, the CCG?

    4. Gnasher; again...there as a preview for a force still in Development. Not part of the Brood, not even remotely. Here's just there as a cameo appearance.

Ooh, I see what looks like an objective marker there, Baa-Baa in miniature? Or maybe Gazelle...?

    Who's wearing the Brom tattoo?

    Who is that Colgate girlie-girl?

Curious as to why X'cess is hanging with the Dragyri...oh...they aren't strictly on faction-specific shelves.

Very nice Grafter. The display full of minis should have turned more than a few heads!!! Eat your heart out Warmachine, DA minis kick the butts of those ugly Horde things you guys are pushing lately!

The new minis look very very nice! Can't wait to see better pictures of them. Also glad that Punky got to go to the show. All that hard work does have some benefits. Hopefully you guys did not gamble away to much money . . . .

    Later,

    Jeff

Well, the idea was to have each army with their own shelf. Notice 4 shelves but, we have far more Forsaken than anything else, so they spilled to the second shelf. And Gnasher is not part of the Brood, just easier to put it on the Brood shelf because we have the least amount of miniatures on the bottom shelf.

I didn't know you were so close until I got to Vegas, otherwise I would have had you there too. With that said, I need to deploy my talents wisely. There is a chance that Punky might not be able to make Gen Con, besides, GAMA is pretty relaxed compared to Gen Con. We managed the demos between us pretty good.

Now that we got one under the belt, I think we are going to kick ass in Gen Con, I can feel it.
