    WARZONE/MUTANT CHRONICLES/DOOM TROOPER..........*THE MOVIE*!

Hey everyone. Here is a bit of kick ass info that passed my way that will make all of you out there (especially some in Dark Age who had previous involvement) happy! A blast from the past that is welcome to see!

It's confirmed and in production. A movie based on The Mutant Chronicles! We get to see Warzone on the big sceen (betcha never thought you would see that) with badasses Tom Jane, and Ron Pearlman headlining the cast and John Malcokvich, amongst others, signed on!

Here is the original cast anouncement that I picked up on....

And here is a recent update with a smuggled peice of concept art

Guys this is totally cool, and might bring more game concepts and worlds into being used in movies.

(Dreams of an Iron Kingdoms movie and dare I say *dare, dare* DA the movie! Ok it's about 10 years before that comes about but one can dream. )

Looks very cool but seeing where the Mutant Chronicles movies 1&2 as wellas the computer game went...well I'm cautious. Still it would be sweet!

Unfortunatly the only other choice to be made into a movie would be GW (cosses self).

The other thing is I can bet this movie is focused around Capitol......(but Imperial and Bauhaus are so cool I moan... )

EDIT; having read it all the way through it seems this will be to Warzone as the Starship Troopers film was to the book. On the positive side the concept art has Imperial guys in it!

if done it would have to be much CGI... only way to pull it off in my opinion.. any other way and you just have a home movie like that German LARP (live action roleplay) group that does 40K reinactments.. it's ok, but it won't ever make it to the box offices.

A bit of bitter irony here, the movie was so long in development hell that no one believed it anymore, and now, right for the third time the tabletop game is crashing down, we get new life signs from the movie ... hohum

A GW film has the potential to look fantastic which is where the real danger comes in. Anyone making something like that could very easily forget to include plot. The same could be said for an Iron Kingdoms film as well.
    Of course I

Magpie thereisnt much info, I got interested around the time UWZ died a horrible death but http://www.sebman.com/index.html gies you some good ideas on the backround and the like.
I think a GW movie could work with ease, use Warhammer as elves, dwarves and humans are easy. Treemen have similarly been done as have dragons. Ogres and Giants are also very possible. A 40K movie could focus on the Inquisition so most characters are mutants or humans, both easy to do. Add the occassional SMurf (they've already built suits anyway). Eldar are easy. Chaos is harder but still quite possible. All to scarily easy methinks...
A Samaria movie would be great however not enough popularity right now. Still it would be very, very cool...

as for plot, GW could certainly do any number of things.. the horus heresy, the finding and taming of the primarchs, armageddon, etc..

Or even the beginnings of the first human empire, before the age of strife and the coming of the emeperor and his great crusade.

    The possibilities are endless.

The Damocles crusade would be good for the morality-bending Hollywood loves to do.

"Oh, the good guys are really the bad guys, isn't this profound!"
