    Possible terrain source for DA

Someone posted a link to this supplier on our LGS Forum. May be worth a look since some of their products could be used for DA.

Yeah...I've seen this stuff before...not IRL, but online.

For those US persons interested, they carry it at The Warstore now too.

Just need to point out that my wife is going to be very angry someday soon due to this post!!!! I have been looking at this stuff from very early on and did not order due to shipping. Now its getting very hard to resist. Just have to wait until July when she is in Hawaii!

Well, I guess I can always blame Grafter!

Heck, shes going to be gone long enough for me to order the stuff, hide it away in the basement and pay the visa bill. Sounds like a plan to me!

Well, don't forget to paint it and take pics first.

Very interesting (not to mentioned time well to fit in with my desire to a)build some terrain and b)not spend any money).
Still, very interesting all the same

    MDF!
A very nice material, but it has a tendencay to warp in small sizes when being painted or prepped.
This means that you need to make sure that you glue the entire thing together, and cover it in paint in one go, unless you want to risk warping.

These guys might have found a way to make sure it wont behave like that, and I can understand why they have chosen to make terrain out of it.

MDF is such a nice bulky material, that responds to well to anything you might do to it, so you can make some really nice shapes out of it, wihtout chipping and cracking, but the fine grain that makes up the MDF itself can suck up a lot of water, so my guess would be that IF you ever buy one of these, which I am certain you'll never regret, make sure you have to time to cover the entire model in paint in one go. Dont paint the front, because you have the time, then do the back a day later, it could, and I say could because this is not a sure thing, be all concave when you pick it up again.

But damn I want some of those ruins.
I've seen this scenery before, and it's just so danged tempting.
Fortunately, my advisor from the bank will call me if I buy anything the rest of the month, so the mere threat of having an angry lady on the phone who has control over my finances might deter me anyway.
