Demo Report - Malaysia 22nd July 2006

[Shinobi]

1 Day, 5.5 Hours, 3 Demo Games, 4 New Players............... Sweet!!

The first demo session featuring Exodus

The day saw three battles between the cool Ice caste Dragyri and the spunky new Skarrd of the Toxic Cult.

After the session there was a lot of interest in starting the game and getting armies. Most people seemed to want the Brood though......... must be all the sweet models and also all the teasing I was doing about the new units and concepts in Evolution............... no matter how much pain they caused me to get more details of these new Brood gribblies, I could not divulge any information, only the fact that they are uber-luvverly........... bwahahahahahahahahah


New player, Khairul, checking on the system of measurement........ Warmachine player converting to Metric!!!! On the far left, Arzmi who played in the second game. On the far right, Irfan (Azriel) who commanded the Skarrd twice on the day. The solitary white guy is *ahem* that 'Shinobi' bloke!


The battlefield for the day's battles. The Confrontation lot had nicked all the buildings from the shelves before we got there. We need to have a terrain drive at the shop. More buildings especially are needed....... next project!


Kaustic (Shinobi) leads his faithful Buzzblade pack (Art-de-Vivre) over the bridge towards victory.................. or death........... actually it was death.......


Things do not look good for the Father and Grafter............. 2 combat rounds later, both were dead! Ganging up rawks


Here comes the pain!!!!! The Deaths Device gets bored and decides to join in the action.


Battle royale!!! This was to prove the winning moment for the Skarrd in the third and final demo game....... very close though as both were down to 1 HP each as the Skarrd leader won the initiative!!

By interesting I meant you have 3 individuals which seems a bit much for two squads. Nothing really wrong about it of course, but I always picture that Skarrd with something big in the force. Maybe I just like big stuff .

We would have had something with a bit more muscle if we had one on hand at the time!!!!

Hopefully for the next demo session we'll have a bit more choice in terms of Skarrd figures.

Actually the 'comic' style reports I did for GAMECON last year went down a storm............ maybe I'll do something similar for the next demo session?
