    Walking mushrooms? That really sucks.
    I mean it would be cool to have a mushroom army (with smurf slaves) but not the orks.

    Yeah, thats what I thought when GW changed in 3rd edition. I mean, mushrooms? Who the hell came up with that....

    Its possible that the Fungus fluff appeared with Gorkamorka.

    Actually that is probably true. Thats when the Orks design ethos changed so radically and from whence we get their scrap Ork look. Pity as the game is quite good.

    They're not mushrooms, they're fungus they spread like and grow the first stages of their lives as such.
    Actually, I think it's one of the best ways to describe how orks are all over the known universe.

    Really? Personally I find the idea of Orks growing fromfungi rather, umm, far fetched....

    It's not just the Orks that grow from mushrooms, it's the ones in Warhammer too. I've been watching the video diaries for Warhammer Online and they keep going on about it. That's why there are no female Orcs, too

    Is it really any worse than how the Uruk-Hai came about in Lord of the Rings - that was just downright odd.
