I made sorta a strange D20 setting in which I used the gun malfunctioning rules like Dark Age and featured a setting best decribed as cyber punk meets post apocalyptic. It was pretty fun despite the campaign dying, but D20 is wearing thin on my nerves of late.
I think I heard mumblings about this a while ago though, but if it happens it'll be very far in the future.
I've heard a lot of those mumblings lately as for the D20 system goes. Good be revolution in the air. Though I love the idea of incorporating weapon malfunctions in a more pivotal role in Rpg's. Very kewl.
Cheers,

i tryed making some rules useing Gama World d-20 but it wasnt realy good
We have had this discussion on and off for a long time. It is not a matter of unwillingness on our part, just that we are currently concentrating on the miniature game and really do not want to split the manpower to start another project.
"We are not here to make history, we are here to change the future!"
So instead of splitting the manpower, recruit experienced writers that are familier with the setting to do it for you. Sure, there would be checking and cross-checking that would need to be done to make sure it was consistent, but that's better than trying to write and RPG while designing and making new minis.
Increased workload: Bad
Increased quality on Dark Age playtesting: Good.
Now what is this d20 system I am hearing so much about?
I haven't played a RPG for 10 years now, and they don't hold any particular interest for me, so I don't know the first about what is happening in the RPG business.
Whenever I mention Dark Age using d20, people go: OMGOROrZ I am NOT doing any more of that!!!1!one
And not in my wildest dreams can I imagine why a d20 is such a bad thing, anyone care to elaborate?
D20 is a generic RPS systeme based on D&D 3rd ed.
it has some good aspect but unfortunatly every wannabe game designer
latched on to it to launch some rather crappy products.
Tyranosaurus tex come to mind (space comboys fighting the american civil war in the jurasic era)![]()
