Multiple Weapons in a Weapon Group- simultaneous?

Well that is great with me because we had been playing it with different color dice for different weapons- but after reading the earlier Mr_Sota post I assumed we were doing it wrong as it did not mention different dice for different weapons...

Ok I know this is a little bit off topic but it just occurred to me whilst reading example #2.

Example #2

Abomination has three Pod Guns in Attack Group #3.

He has Spearslaves #1, #2 & #3 within 40cm. #1 is within 20cm so it must be targeted. #2 is at 23cm & #3 is at 25cm

Abomination wants to target all three.

Abomination must target #1, but he has the option of making #2 his second target, or #3 his second target. Abomination says he wants to target #1, then #2 then #3.

Using a RA weapon: you spend the AP, you choose your target, then you measure the distance.
However you also have to fire at anyone with 20 cm first. So how do you know the distance to (slave 1 in this example) without measuring first?

You have to measure to "confirm", if after measuring you find out that Slave 2 is closer than 1, then you have to shoot at #2 first.
