Spray and streams vs models in Cover

I was wondering are there any advantages to using spray or Stream templates vs models in cover.

Ex, in a ruined building

St mary fires her nail gun at some sawblades in a ruined building.

Are they Auto hit if under the template?

As far as I know yes, they are auto hit. I've had all sorts of fun spraying Shane's Forsaken through forests with my Toxic chicks.

Yup, they have no to hit roll....but, always remember this:

Even though these weapons use a template that does not mean
they can penetrate impassable Terrain. Should the AoE
template cross Terrain that you could not normally target a
Unit over, or through, then the effect stops there.

And this includes 10cm of forest.
