    Casting in general

    Hi there!

I've got a generel question about casting I didn't find an answer for with the search function. For example my Father is casting Friendly Animosity. How is the activation of the squad worked out? We played it this way: we stopped the activation of the Father, I played the enemy squad attacking the announced squad and after that I played the remaining APs of the Father. The same for example for Provoking Ridicule. The Father casted the spells, the enemy ran in his direction, the Father charged him with his last APs and killed him. Is this right? Or when is the spell worked out?

THe Father will always complete the activation and any Squad/unit under the effect of the psychogenic will act accordingly in their next activation.

This is typical of all psychogenics and foci, unless otherwise noted.

And who decides at which time the squad is activated? And who is activating it? Is the squad handled like a squad of the caster (so he is activating it) or can the owner of the squad activate it and the caster is playing this activation?

unless the psychogenic states it the unit/squad may be activated at any time and the owning player activates it within the constrictions of the psycho/foci.

    For example:

I am casting Friendly Animosity with my Father at a squad of Dragyri Slaves. The other player could activate all other squads/units, move away from the Slaves and acivate the slave squad at the end of the turn so that the slaves couldn't do any harm so I could just move with the slaves towards the nearest squad.

Your opponent could activate one unit, then you get activate one.. If he moves the wrong unit, you make him pay.

Not having Exodus in front of me, that is essentially correct. If the player has units to activate other than the Friendly Animosity'd unit/squad then they may activate whichever unit they want freely.

Ah, ok. So it is clever to chose a unit for the attack with the bewitched squad that has already moved, so that it has no chance to escape.
