    Johann 750

    So, finally built Johann and a few other models I had kicking about. Playing a game on Tuesday and was thinking of taking this:

    Johann: 200
    Grafter: free
    Sister of Charity: 50
    Warwind: 95
    2 x Drillheads: 170
    3 x Harpies: 99
    3 x Coils: 135

    - 749

    My main concern is that there's only 12 models! I'm playing Dragyri so I'm going to be outnumbered anyway, anything that falls to the Soul Splitters (he loves his Splitters) can hopefully get fixed up by the Sister before making it to melee.

    It will definitely be a "Guerilla" style fight on my part. The coils provide the ranged support from the rear, hopefully on a hill and hopefully not killing themselves as they're wanton to do! The Drillheads take a flank, preferably the most dense, while Johann, the Sister and Warwind draw attention to themselves to let the Drillheads get into position. The Harpies will be kept back until about turn 3 to provide reinforcements or a distraction as needed.

    This, of course, will all go to pot if he places 30 odd slaves down of course! Those Shard Slaves will give me headaches too, they're priority #1 for the coils and Warwind to dispatch.

    Johann seems a bit pricey for games under 1000, what do you guys think?

    you can't think of johann being pricey because he comes with a free grafter in anything over 750 points. So really he's only like 150 pts, which for what he can do and does do, is amazing. Also 12 guys isn't that bad, remember this is a scirmish game and besides for slaves and broodlings, most armies will have around the same amount of guys 10-15 give or take. My johann army i won last years immortal tourny with only had 11 guys. So it's just a matter of what you can do with those guys.

    That is a fine anti-Dragyri force.

    Johann and Drillheads are trueborn killers and Warwind and Harpies will take care of slaves. Plus you have enough shooty to make the Dragyri charge.
