Vax's Outcasts

Starting to paint again, and I'm using a different approach than normal. I figured I'd start by posting up the before photos so you'll know what's different about it.




(These are crap because there are no details yet and I didn't want to take the time for good pics)

I decided to start by giving them all a spray of orange, since I'm going to be making that the main, purest color of the scheme. As you can see, I've started adding a few splotches of other colors just to get a sense of the contrast. I'll post pics of these as I finish them, which will probably be pretty sporadic.

I picked up big daddy mayhem when I ordered the new rulebook (which arrived ahead of schedule!). I'm planning to keep my outcasts as a small force for variety of choice, but I've always been a Skarrd at heart. Luke is tempting though. His forces seem interesting to me for some reason, and I love me some giant power armor.

Do you have access to an airbrush? The color application almost looks like you're using an airbrush.
I picked one up last year and have had some great fun created atmospheric affects across multiple models.
