Are the squalls a worthy purchase and is it relatively easy to turn them into the greater storm elemental, and is the spirit lord for air caste out yet I couldn't find it in store?

I love my Squalls! You must field a Soul Warden but I do that anyway everytime. furthermore he can heal them and transfer them his own wounds if he stay close by. I haven't been able to merge them yet as I leave them split most of the time for the 12 AP instead of 4. But the DF1 of the GSE is pretty tempting.
