A few questions that were not immediately obvious to me as I prep for GenCon qualifiers:
How many lists can I bring and play?
Can they be from different factions?
Can I play a given scenario more than 1 time during a tourney?

just one list, the only time you can have different factions is if you play outcasts or forsaken and take bounty hunters. As per last year the mission you choose to do is 'one use'. Though i am not sure if they changed anything for this year's gencon immortal. The qualifiers are 500 pts and the immortal tournament itself is 750

You can bring as many lists as you want, but you only get to play one list per Tournament. You should feel free to change lists between tournaments, but not matches.

Also, the way tournament missions will be working at GenCon (and from this point forward at any official events) is different than ever before. Missions are random, but not as random as with campaign play. The new format is designed to reward multi-faceted lists that can take all-comers instead of "one trick pony" lists or "gimmick-y" wins.
I am hoping to post the official tournament rules sometime in July.

for the qualifiers is it always top 2 regardless of number of participants?

For every full 4 participants in a GenCon Qualifier, we are sending 1 person to the Finals. So, 4=1st only; 8=1st and 2nd; etc.
And all remember, if you hit 24 entrees then the top winner gets a plane-ticket to compete!
So are people able to compete at Gencon if they aren't able to attend a qualifiying event? Our DA comunity is small (6ish players), but it is growing...
There are also qualifiers at Gen Con as well, please check the Gen Con events listing.

They should try to get into the GenCon Qualifier events (there are three) before the Finals on saturday night. Also, they will probably be filling up pretty quickly, so I'd get them signed up sooner rather than later.
